Thank you for sharing this story - what a time you and your wife have had, but how wonderful to have a caring community to support you. Many, many years ago I was travelling alone on the Trans-Siberian and at the very beginning, in Moscow (a few days before I boarded the train), I ended up in hospital with a severe kidney infection. It's quite daunting when medical staff are speaking a language that you don't understand, right? Sending well wishes to you, from a chilly KZN.
